Chief Engineer’s Log:
- Travel to Empar: Hopefully (thinks the engineer) we can land on a supply planet and do maintenance and updates to the ship. I know the captain has been looking for a new hover mule since we converted ours to space use. He is also wanting some small shuttles. Luckily the upper deck Storage rooms are big enough that we could converted them to airlocks and docking bays along the lines of another ship I saw specs on. Some ship name Serenity had a setup like that. Anyhow, that is what this engineer has tasked from his captain for the next few weeks. Of course testing some of the parents ship component designs on the ship in a safely landed environment would be good too.
- Empar Day 1-3: Well we landed. Lance wandered off. Not sure where too or maybe it was his time to move on. It was always tough to tell with that guy. Anyhow the captain wanted me to get all the sensors back up to spec. So I will be working on that for the next few days. Otherwise we have a crap ton of spare parts in various rooms. I think I might spend my time going through and cataloging all this crap the captain keeps finding and bringing back. Swear to god I have met pack rats that would look at him funny. Maybe I can make some stuff out of this crap and sell it too. Oh the captain wants to convert 2 of the mid deck storage rooms to a shuttle bay. Fun but we need something like that.
- Empar Day 4: Well looks like Lance is well and gone. On the upside the Doc has been busy playing with animals again. Looks like she has been having fun birthing monsters. The captain came back with our resident paranoid, Pheonix. Good guy but we are going to have to go easy on him. Hopefully make him feel safe enough that he will live in his cabin instead of sleeping in the cargo bay. The captain also brought back a couple hover bikes and a new hover cargo mule. Good we needed that. Now to work on my special project for mom and dad.
- Oh looks like we picked up a week long contract. Good. I can finish getting the cargo room ready in transit so all I have to do is finishing touches when we get done with this adventure. The customer brought along her own security. The guy is blue. Reminds me of an old earth smurf. Some ancient cartoon series of little blue guys with white hats and pants. I swear if he puts on white clothes I am whistling the theme song.
